Hi I'm jam I'm a writer, artist and sustainability engineer. I'm very interested in SolarPunk as a genre, but it's still in the process of becoming established. I would like to see this genre grow and thrive. Normally, I would just go into a cave and research things quietly for a long time, content to just have my own voice even if it goes against anyone else's ideas. In this case, however, I think we don't have time. That's why I built this site to share my ongoing research, ideas and "vision". Some disclaimers: I am just one writer, I think SolarPunk as a genre MUST be defined COLLECTIVELY. I am stating my opinions and observations on this site, but I make no claims to be an absolute authority on what Solarpunk is. I happen to have a talent for organizing and synthesizing a lot of information. I'm sharing that talent here with other writers as a resource. My only aim is to see this genre get born because I think we need it. Disagree with my ideas wherever you see fit and put your own spin on it. This genre absolutely cannot be created by one person and I'm excited to see what the community comes up with! All I want to do is encourage and watch and play and vibe.
